Why Is This Man Still Free? 7 Reasons Why Kunal Kamra Should Be Arrested

It is high time that the Supreme Court of Bharat takes strict action against stand-up comedians and their jokes against the Nation, starting with the most dangerous criminal, Kunal Kamra. Rogue comedians like Kamra must understand that their jokes constitute grave violations of The One Nation, One Comedy Act 2025, exclusively reported on in my last piece, according to which comedy can only be limited to poking fun at minorities, women, and other marginalized groups.
When political party workers vandalise a comedy studio and municipal authorities bring out the bulldozers, it is only fair that the highest court of law also does its part to show comedians their place in society. If they want to criticize our great Bharatiya Sanskaar, comedians must shift to the Lahore Comedy Club.
Our great democracy, which gives ‘too much’ freedom, should not be misused by the likes of Kunal Kamra, poking fun at Hindutva, inflation, and a Prime Minister that has a penchant for ethnic cleansing. We already saw comedians at India Got Latent rightfully receive FIRs, and we need to maintain Sanatani consistency. Thus, the Supreme Court of Bharat must immediately jail Kunal Kamra for the audacious act of performing standup comedy in Hindu Rashtra. Here are seven reasons why:
1. Comedy is Getting Out of Hand
Firstly, like the CEO of India’s economic policy, Amitabh Kant, said, there is “too much democracy” in India. Some citizens of Akhand Bharat think this freedom extends to joking about our Supreme Leader and his henchmen. Kunal Kamra’s 45-minute 41-second comedy special ‘Naya Bharat’ is a disgrace to Indian society. Surprisingly, it is still up on YouTube.
Some Shiv Sena workers were seen playing the video on their laptops, and then throwing them from the Bandra Worli Sea Link bridge in protest against Kunal Kamra’s unfunny jokes. The Supreme Court must thus urgently clarify what comedy is and is not allowed in Bharat, and interpret the One Nation, One Comedy Act 2025, and the related criminal provisions of the Unlawful Humour Prevention Act 2025 (UHPA) to guide Bharatiya Comedians onto the right path.
2. Kunal Kamra is Funded by George Soros, Pakistan, and The Naxalites
Jokes about the state of India are made to help a foreign billionaire, our nuclear enemy neighbour, or to tukde-tukde Bharat. We must cut down on the menace of Pakistani-funded comedy clubs in Mumbai, Delhi, and Indore.
Clearly, this is part of the Comedy Jihad campaign to lure young, vulnerable Hindus into thinking that ‘Sanatana Dharma’ is just a continuation of the caste system. It cannot ever be the case that comedians just hold a mirror to society to show that, behind the laughs, a society has begun rotting from the inside.
What does it even mean that criticism is meant for self-improvement? For that, we have our spiritual gurus like Baba Ramdev and Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who studied engineering in minority institutions, only to eventually support Hindutva fascists.
3. Political Prisoners Will Get a Free Source of Entertainment
Jailing Kunal Kamra could also be a benevolent gesture towards the political prisoners languishing in jail. They will have an additional source of entertainment in the form of a so-called comedian to supplement the constant questioning and illegal detention by the Indian State.
Additionally, given the Supreme Court’s failure to provide a sipper for an 84-year-old priest with Parkinson’s disease until he died in jail, it has some atoning to do.
“We believe that this move of introducing comedy to Tihar jail is a step in the right direction”, the Bar Council of Delhi said earlier today, “At least now the verdicts we receive in the court won’t be the only comedy in the judicial system”.
4. Kunal Kamra Can Be Let Out With Specific Bond Instructions
The court can let Kunal Kamra out on bail under specific instructions, like allowing him to perform at whichever sites the VHP wants to demolish next. He can host his next show at Aurangzeb’s tomb, so Hindu Nationalist mobs can raze it to the ground like The Habitat, in Mumbai.
Other venues that will not clash with the National Interest can be, for example, any number of Adivasi villages, so that corporate companies can move in without much ruckus. Kunal Kamra can also host stand-up comedy clubs at any temple or mosque that needs demolishment; such as the 2200 Shops, 800 Houses, 30 Temples, 9 Mosques and 6 Tombs that were demolished to build “Rampath” leading to the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, displacing hundreds of mostly Bahujan people from their homes and livelihoods.
After all, Mathura and Kashi are still left.
5. Politicians Will Keep Their Jobs
Forget AI taking over jobs. If the Supreme Court does not jail comedians, politicians will lose their jobs. Comedy is a tool of state power, and humour must accordingly be preserved among the Savarna politician classes so that they can joke about Muslims to further the Hindu Rashtra project.
Even the Chief Joker, who claims to have had a non-biological birth, uses comedy to win elections. If independent comedians think they can say outlandish, bizarre things like how Rohingya refugees are stealing your jobs, then who will we elect? If Kunal Kamra is not jailed immediately, others might feel emboldened to use humor as a weapon of mass disruption.
6. The Supreme Court Will Regain The Trust of Indians
If we let Kunal Kamra get away with making fun of a judgment today, tomorrow, someone else might start questioning why politicians get expedited bail while common people languish in jails. The day after that, citizens might begin expecting transparency in verdicts. Before you know it, we could end up in a society where criticism is not treated as sedition, but as a legitimate part of democracy. That would be the end of everything we hold dear!
If the courts are to regain trust, especially when they stay silent on the creeping rise of Hindutva authoritarianism, they must take heavy-handed actions against anti-Hindu comedians like Kunal Kamra to show that the justice system does work.
7. It Will Provide Ample Fodder For “Think Pieces”
Finally, let’s not forget the greatest utility of putting Kunal Kamra behind bars: it will give us something else to talk about while the economy stumbles, elections are rigged, and public funds mysteriously disappear. Locking him up will prove, once and for all, that in our great democracy, nothing is more important than protecting the egos of the powerful.
It would only be apt if a judiciary primarily made up of upper caste men rushed to protect the political interests of a party that is dominated by upper caste men. And considering that even Shiv Sena workers and BMC officials have decided to take their civic duty seriously by vandalizing his studio, it’s clear the nation has spoken—no jokes, just justice!
The Supreme Court must take immediate action before it’s too late. We cannot allow a comedian to shape public discourse, especially when we have news channels doing such a stellar job of it already. Let’s ensure that no one dares to think, question, or joke about institutions ever again. Because, as history has taught us, societies that silence humor always end up being the happiest, most progressive places on earth.
